i found my mother ( wilma smith ) and some of her siblings in the 1920 florida census and they are listed in desoto county. i did not note the precint or the page#
she would be listed under( robert raymond smith ) her father and her mother ( mattie )i was always under the impression that my mother was born in Hardee county, when was this all changed, what was the dividing lines, i saw one notation that Desoto was changed to Highlands county at some point.
Her siblings would have been:
Pearl Smith/ married a Lowe/Pate
Gladys Smith/ Sol McCelland
Burnice Smith deceased 1904
Bictoria Smith/ Ira Porter
Gordon Smith--never married
Rena Smith/Maddox, Phelps, Luke
Orville Smith/ not sure who he married, was married twice
