Unfortunately we (the known family) had/have no idea who this person could be. The child was claimed as living in the 1900 Census there is an account of 3 living births. Only 2 (E. Bertha 19 and Joseph D. 17) are named in the census as living with their mother Caroline Adams HOH, father Daniel had passed by that time.

Not an uncommon practice, was to farm out children whom they could not afford. Should this be the case, he'd be younger and he might have been raised by another family member in the Adams or Tier family. He may have one of those names OR-- he could have been born out of wed-lock he'd be older and given up for adoption, then where does one look?

As I've mentioned in previous postings on Adams/Tier/Conine or Ohio Fourms, this person as an adult came into the family business, in Tampa,Florida; asking for my grandfather Joseph D. Adams. My Uncle his JR. waited on the man, telling him he was the son. With the question unanswered by Grandpa, the question was never again posed. My uncle took the proplexing moment home to his wife as they discussed the day, two of my cousins overheard the days happenings but never asked the question. This had to have taken place after 1945. Had I know of this before just hearing about it a few weeks ago, I'd have asked. To know there is someone out there that was denied as a child,-- who might have had a wonderful family but would like to know this side of his family. This is an unanswered quest of ours.

My Grandmother Adams (Tier)with connecting parents for Caroline were Tier/Conine there might be a clue to assist in this search.

Thank you for reading, maybe someone else might know of the puzzle and have a clue.
