Here's a little info from the Florida Marriage Index on Ancestry.com:

Barney SMITH and Ruby CRIBBS were married in 1930 in Pinellas County. (Volume 101, Certificate 2308).

Might be a good place to start.

Any idea where and when they died and/or were buried? Any idea where and when the children were born?

At this point I doubt that the Cherokee/Seminole connection is worth pursuing. Almost every Southern family has a supposed "Cherokee Princess" in its ancestry, but the documentation is mighty scarce.
