Hi Kathleen,
Thanks so much for your response.
I (and many others) have been searching for CHARATA for years now-----------the closest thing I have found is an
image for a CHARITEE WEEDEN(think this surname is connected) in Todd, KY.
The image lists the correct birthdates for both grandparents, 1833 and 1829-30, but has them in KY in '70, when they were in NC; keep hoping that this could be a mistake, as I find many 'could be' kin in the two states.
STRANGE!
I do know that CHARATA died before 1900 (when WM died), and both are buried in Pine Forest Cemetery, NC, w/SARAH.
Too early to get certificates.
