Hi Curtis,
It appears Katherine's father lived in Hamilton Co for some time. Here are the census listings showing him there in 1870, 1880, 1900 and 1910. He was married twice-to Laura and Minnie and had quite a few children. There is a discrepancy on his age but that's very common on these census reports- particularly since Pater could not read or write (as shown on these reports).
