Edwin,
Have you requested a death certificate? They are only $5.00.
Also, have you checked to see if there is a obit published? There some really great people that go to the Jacksonville Library that will check for you. I have had great success with the Duval County message board on ancestry.com. Or you can try the Duval board on here.
