Thanks Wayne,

I have been trying to clear this up and find our Alvin Mayo that also moved to Florida. I appreciate the information. I have found our Alvin on the Ga. census in 1910 Bulloch, Ga and on the 1920 Ga, Coffie County, Douglas Dist. These census have his right birth date and list his wife as we have it in NC and that he was born in NC. We never knew that he went to Ga but do know that in his last years he was in Florida for cousins remember that our grandfather was taken to Ocalla, Fla to see him. I have also found and sent off for his death cert. in Florida a couple of weeks ago. As far as Jean's line Mayo line we have several of the same names, so I guess that the cousin that gave me the information could have gotten mixed up. Her line isn't our Mayo line for our line came out of Perq/Pasq county (now Elizabeth City, NC)and started with Edward & Sarah Maggs Mayo that came to Perq.county from Barbados and Edward came from England. I'm haven't seen any proof if the two lines ever connected.

Thanks for your time,

DENISE MAYO CLARK
