There are several sources to try. 1 is to look in the Maxville and MacClenny areas as a lot of the Dowlings settled there. 2 Check the Starke Historical Society, call first as they do not open every day for books on the local citzens. My grandmother was a Dowling, but I believe we are in a different branch from Jabez Dowling. I have found it difficult to connect some, tho I know they belong in our clan. Good Luck! Susan
