The George Craig Family of Manatee County, Florida will hold its biennial potluck reunion Saturday, July 3, 2004, 4 pm, at the First Church of Nazarene, 1616 59th Street West, Bradenton, Florida.
The reunion brings together descendants of George CRAIG, the son of John CRAIG, a Florida Pioneer, and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth BERRYHILL, every 2 years for food and family.
George, one of eight children of John CRAIG and Mary Caroline GODDARD, was born June 14, 1855 in Manatee County and died May 4, 1935 in Manatee County. Sarah Elizabeth was born Jan. 1, 1866 in Jefferson, Florida to Andrew BERRYHILL and Sarah Elizabeth DUNCAN and died June 22, 1939 in Manatee County.
In 2002, more than 100 descendants representing five of George and Sarah’s eight children attended the reunion.
We did not have any representation at the last reunion from the families of Lizzie Craig COURTER PARKER, Maude Craig PERVIS, or Lottie Craig ROBERTSON. People researching these families can contact Derald Everhart at deralde@hotmail.com.
