my great grandfather, john w harris, born 8 may 1854, in south carolina, migrated to sumter county, florida, and married nancy c watson (born in georgia) in 1879...john w & nancy harris were listed on the 1880 census for sumter county, florida...john w harris died 8 nov 1918 and is buried in dukes cemetery, groveland, florida...john & nancy's known children are o. s. (oscar samuel?), s. i. (susan ida?), t. j. (thomas jefferson - my grandfather), and s. e (sarah e)...i suspect nancy died in 1889 & john married kittie walker in 1889 - sumter county, fl...he then married tryphenia mcduffie in 1892 - sumter county, fl...john & tryphenia' children - as listed on the 1910 census for lake county, florida are - oveda, lizzie, & john w...i suspect that william h harris listed on the 1880 census for sumter county,florida, is a relative of john w harris...i have been unable to find any information on john w harris prior to the 1880 census & cannot find him on the 1900 census...am trying to track john w harris' parents...does anyone have any information on any of these individuals??? thank you!!!
