Looking for info on John S. Banks and the town he built called Ravenswood. The town was located on Hiway 19 just north of Altoona, Lake County. The entire town burned in 1888 but I haven't been able to locate an exact date or any other info on the fire. John Banks died 14 Jan 1885. His burial place is unknown. Any info on John Banks, Ravenswood, the railroad or the Ravenswood Post Office is appreciated.
