I was told that my great and great-great grandparents migrated to Putnam County from Monticello, FL. I'm assuming that migration occurred after slavery was abolished. I have been able to make a definitive identification of my great and great-great grandparents on the 1900 Putnam County - Precinct 10 Census. They resided in Federal Point City, FL. That area is now a part of Hastings, FL and St. Johns County. My great-great-grandparents' names were David and Adeline Wilson. Per the 1900 census, David was born in 1851 in Georgia, and Adeline was born in 1854 in Florida. My great-grandparents' names were Isaac and Julia Wilson. Per the same census, Isaac was born in 1876 in Florida, and Julia was born in 1881 in Florida. Julia's maiden name was Edwards. I was told that she was an American-Indian from the Hawthorne, FL area. In the 1870 Leon County - Northern Division (Sub-division 22) Census, I have found a Wilson family of 7 listed. The parents appeared to be Ned and Marian Wilson. The oldest child was David. I'm not sure if this David is my great-great grandfather. I've hit a wall. Can anyone out there provide any information at all to assist me in my search? Notify Administrator about this message?
