I am searching for the parents or siblings of my GG Grandfather Charles TOWNSEND born 1824 in South Carolina and died 1886 in Jefferson County, Florida.
One lead is Samuel TOWNSEND born 1794 in South Carolina and appears in the 1850 Madison County, Florida census with a wife Edia born 1804 in South Carolina and a daughter Amanada born 1832 in South Carolina and a son or grandson Charles born 1847 in South Carolina.
This Samuel does not show up in the known list of descendants of Light TOWNSEND (1735-abt 1817) and Delilah POUNCEY (1739-abt 1785). Lights descendants are my most likely line but have not been able to tie him in.
