This is what I have learned so far in my researches on the French family.

Richard French is reported to have been married twice, see notes on census below. I know that he is buried beside Mary Elizabeth French in the Winterville Cem. in Holmes Co.Fl.

1) Elizabeth Dyson

(NOTE: Elizabeth Dyson age 11 in household #179 of John C.and Nancy Chapman of SC. on 1870 Holmes Co.Fl.-Miller P.O.)

2) Mary Elizabeth Faircloth

Richard French shown on Holmes Co.Fl land records index before 1908.

Paul P.French, Joseph T.French, Samuel J.French, Henry French are all shown on the men listed on 1917-18 Reg.Application for War.
