Webb Mill- Lock
Posted by: Arlene Locke (ID *****8545) Date: July 05, 2006 at 01:25:26

I am researching the Lock family from Holmes County. In the 1910 census I found a Lock and the district was Webb Mill. Can anyone tell me what place this is close to?

Also, I am interested in life in Holmes County from 1900 to 1950. Like what were the crops, mode of transportation, means of shopping, social activities, biggest problems people faced. Does anyone know of a book that I could get with stories of these times?

Thanks. I am in Kansas City and am very impressed with what is available in Holmes county as far as research goes.
