Andrew Elton Williams had a brother and a first cousin named William William. Lee Grace, an early Williams family historian said that they returned to southwest Georgia. He said that one settled south of Columbus. He was supposedly William R. Williams and was a son of either John (ca. 1775-1837_ or Owen (1785-ca. 1875) Williams. I have never been able to prove this, but do believe that it is true. I also think that Owen had a daughter who married a Brock.

John and Owen Williams settled on the Spring Creek of the Chipola Rivwer in Jackson County, Florida in late 1820. John died there in 1837. Owen was the first Probate Judge of Holmes County. ANdrew E. was the son of John. In 1870, he moved to Butler County, Al. where he died in 1873.
