Hello Amy, thank you for your post. Since I wrote that post I've confirmed some of my information. The Needham I am looking for was born around 1874, though I am still not sure if it was in Florida or Alabama. He married in 1898 and his wife's name was Anna or Annie Taylor. If your G.N Riley was 71 in 1860 that would make his birth year around 1789. So he is probably too old to be my Needham's father but there could easily be a relation. My Needham owned land in Holmes County which is next to Washington county. There were many Riley's in southern Alabama. I have often thought that my Needham's father probably came from Alabama into North Florida. Do you know if Anna and G.N Riley had any children together? I noticed the Pinkney Riley. It is possible that one of G.N Riley's children fathered my Needham Riley. If you run across anything like this please let me know.
Once again thank you for sharing.
Happy Thanksgiving
Wendy Riley
