Purvis Family in Hills,Cty.1850
My husband's Family came to the Hillsborough Cty. area in the 1800s from Ga.The Jeptha Purvis family are who I'm looking for. His son Love and Ardelia Purvis, Parented my husbands father Chester Arthur, who married Lillian Eloise Green on May 25,1925. Their Children were:Robert Alton, Marion Almina, Imogene, and Chester Arthur Purvis.Jr. Chester,Sr. died :June 11,1938,from tuberlosis, He was WW1 veteran.Buried at Beulah Baptist Cemetary, At Edison Junction, Fl.Polk Cty.? We still have relations living all around that area. I would to correspond with anyone who knows anything about our family. After Chester, Sr. died, Lillian moved the children back to the Fellsmere,Fl. area.Shortly afterwards their home burned, leaving them with no pictures, records, nor any other momento that they had ever had a father. Lillian stayed in touch with the family by attending family reunions for years. I married into the family in 1955, Attended with her for about 6 years, But,health matters constricted me for about 6 years. By then Lillian had become ill and could no longer go on a regular basis.I remember Aunt Ida,Kenneth,Sunny, Many others, whose names were never associated with the person, So many people,So short a time.
My husband has always felt disassoiated from his family. Not knowing them or even about them. I found an old picture in my family search of his dad.He had never even seen a picture of him, Much less, met him. They could have been cloned. The look of peace that came over him, when he saw that old picture. Will stay with me forever. If there's any one out there, who can share anything about the Purvis family, Please, contact me. I have info. on the children of Chester, Sr.and their offspring. Happy to share..Belle..
