Hi--

I would be most grateful if anyone is able and willing to look for an obit (or any other available info) on John Clibbon Brain (sometimes Braine), who died in Tampa on or about December 8, 1906.

I have a brief obit that ran in the Atlanta Constitution. I'm looking for any further detail. Brain had taken part in covert actions as an agent of the Confederate Navy and was the last person imprisoned for Civil War activities, having been held until 1869. He is known to have been something of a scam artist both before and after the war.

If anyone on the forum needs info from Nashville/Davidson Co., Tenn., I'll be glad to reciprocate.
