Indigent burials

The county had a cemetery on N. 22nd street where a lot of indigents were buried until 1967. After that date burials were done throughout the county in various perpetual care cemeteries. The was also a rather large area designated as "Potters Field" in Woodlawn Cemetery on North Boulevard. The Florida State Genealogical Society published an 8 volumne set that contains the listings. These sets may be found in several county libraries as well as the East Hillsborough Historical Society in Plant City and The Tampa Bay Historical Society located downtown on Franklin Street.
Hope this helps.
