JONES, HOMER, 75, of Plant City, died Sunday (Jan. 20, 2002) at home. Born in Mineral Bluff, Ga., he came to the Tampa area in 1956 from Cleveland, Tenn. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Hillsborough County School Board and was a member of the Church of God. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the DAV chapter 28 and the American Legion Post 26. Survivors include his wife, Inez; a son, Marvin E. Jones, Cleveland, Tenn.; a daughter, Carol Ann Hawkins, Plant City; a sister, Ruth Ballew, Epworth, Ga.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Haught Funeral Home, Plant City.
