Thanks so much for your new information. I have found enough evidence that the Harry Hall Lingo shown in the 1860 census and the 1890-91 Directory was the father of Captain Hall Lingo-- so could trace him back to Caleb and Obediah. I finally found Captain Hall in the Florida census in 1910 and 1930 with his family. Clara Bell died in 1928. I tracked down their obits and those of most of their children in Tampa, Fl. I still have not found the parents of Clara Bell HAMMEL in Cincinnati. She is now my unknown person. Do you have or know of any sources, such as the directory--where I might find her listed with her parents because my understanding was that she was born in Cincinatti, OH. abt. 1879; I have found some Hamels/Hamils/Hamells on the 1880 census but have not confirmed which might be her family. Thanks again for replying so promptly.
