The Townsend House cemetery holds seven generations of my family from my parents back to Capt Jack Townsend who donated the land for the first methodist church in the area. He was a Seminole War Soldier, killed 1868 I believe off the top, and supposedly his father, Revolutionary Soldier Light Townsend is there also in an unmarked grave. Listings of the graves is in Florida Pioneers, published by the Fla Genealogical Society. Also, Coleman-Ferguson Funeral Home serviced most of the area and their archives are available on U S Gen Web archive search. Happy Hunting.
