At one time you could post your discharge papers on the public records through the clerk of court,I do not know when that started or if it ended.

What service branch and unit do you think Mr slaughter served in?

There were some national guard units around here then perhaps he was in one of them, if so his records would be in the HQ's at St Augustine, Bill
