Johnson Family

Researching my line of Johnson's, who appear to have come from SE Alabama in the 1860's or 70's. Looking for information on the family of John D. Johnson, who came into Jasper area with his mom Sarah. It appears he married a woman named Melvina, and they had 3 children according to the 1880 census. Walter, Thomas and Joseph. According to my information, Joseph died at the age of 2 or 3. Another son, John Vasco was born in 1882, and he is my Gg-dad. The family appears to have migrated to Live Oak area before 1885, my information tells me that they were not on the census for Hamilton County in 1885. Am trying to determine more information on the wife of John D. The 1880 census shows her to be Melvina, but John V's death certificate indicates Narciss Dees. I have researched, and been in contact with several Dees, Deese, and Deas descendants, but have found nothing on Narciss Dees. I feel this death record may be incorrect. Any help on this mystery would be appreciated.
