My ggrandfather migrated to HAmilton county in 1839.Purchased a small tract along the Alapaha and Suwannee Rivers. Between 1840 and 1850 he purchased 2,300 acres SE of Jasper a developed a cotton plantation.His name was Francis J. Ross. He leftt many desendents in the area.Is this any help to you?
