My family traces back to days in Pennsylvania (Southwestern, I believe). My grandfather (James Robert McNiece) was a civil engineer in Gary, Indiana for many years. My father, William E (just initial) McNiece is retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Company and lives in Valparaiso, Indiana. He is a veteran of WWII having served in the South Pacific islands under General MacArthur. I live with my family in the Austin, Texas area and our son, Matthew Alan is a student at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. With the help of my parents, I can provide numerous names and dates for at least 4 or 5 generations of the McNiece family. I am also aware of a distant relative (who spells their name McNeice and MacNeice) who has traced the family line back to Scotland as a sept of Clan Gregor. Srioghal Mo Dhream!
