Willa Ann Pridgen Goodson

It has been a year since I posted this. I am reposting in hopes there is someone who did not see it before that can help me with this brickwall.
"Willa Ann Pridgen m. Horatio Goodson 13 Feb 1858, Gadsden County, FL. Sons Jesse Henry b.4 Feb 1859, John Horatio b.1 Feb 1860, Edwin Grandberry b.3 Mar 1872. The book "Dr. Hentz Daily Diary and Autobiogphy", indicates Horatio died in the spring of 1861. Willa can be tracked in every census from 1850 through 1920 with her sons but never with Horatio or anyone other than her mother and sister or sons. Does anyone have any information or family stories that could shine any light on Horatio and/or who Edwin Grandberry's father was if in fact Horatio died in 1861?"

Any information, no matter how small, may be the key to solving this mystery.
