Jabez H. McDOUGALD, Gadsden Co., FL

My great grandfather, Jabez H. McDougald was born in Quincy, Gadsden County, FLorida on 20 May 1843. Unfortunatley, I do not know who his father or mother was. I thought he was a son of Alexander McDougald but that was true according to Alexander's Bible.
J.H. McDougald was in the Civil War and enlisted in Quincy. He was wounded in the war. After the war he came to Texas where he married Sarah Douglass and they had a number of children. I found an Ann McDougald and a Dosie McDougald as grantees in the Reconstructed Tract Book. Who were they?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
