Local info needed on what records are available in what timeframe

I would like to know what is available for Florida and in what timeframe? ie when were statewide death certifiacates required to be filed? Does anyone here have access to compilations or indexes of cemeteries, obituaries, and birth/death records?

I am eeking information on Reuben J Abney born 1854, TX m. Mary E. "Lizzie" Holman and residing in Quincy, Gadsden county, FL on 1885 FL state census and 1900 FL federal census. Would like to know when they died and where they are buried? Seeking obituaries, death certificates (if they exist) and tombstone photos/funeral home records. On the 1900 census Mary indicates she is the mother of 4 children with 1 living. I have information on the child who survivied, but wondered if there might be a register of births/deaths in Gadsden Co, FL from 1885-1900 timeframe where the children who didn't live might be listed. This might provide additional tidbits on Reuben and Mary as well.
Any assitance GREATLY appreciated!
Thx!
Lisa in Texas
