James Davis and family

I am looking for any info on a James Davis (no middle initial known) and his parents and any siblings that he may have.
What I do know about him is that he was born about 1833 in North Carolina, and was married to a Mary Ann Catherine Page in Gadsden County Florida in 1855 and had 4 children that I know about 2 boys and 2 girls. The oldest boy Henry Riley Davis was my great grandfather.
I was told James Davis died about 1877 in Texas. He shows up in the 1870 census for Rosehill, Taylor County, Florida. After that he disappears. His wife Mary shows up in the 1900 Waller County, Texas census living with Henry and his family under the name Mary West and as a widow. She dies in Groveton, Texas in 1902.
Thanks in advance for any help and I am certainly willing to exchange info.
