According to the information I have, Alex Wilson was in Northwest Florida in 1869. He married Melinda Norris in Santa Rosa County on 14 Nov 1869. They had the following children:

James Valentine Wilson, B-03 Oct 1870 in Florida, D-28 Sep 1947, Pensacola, Florida. James married Sallie (Sally) Dunaway, 20 Jun 1898 in Molino, Florida.

William Daniel Wilson, B-22 Jul 1873 in Florida, D-04 Oct 1952, Pensacola, Florida. Dan married Mary Elizabeth Dunaway, 23 Jan 1909 Pensacola, Florida.

Jake Wilson, B-28 Feb 1894 in Pensacola, Florida, D-04 Jan 1970, Pensacola, Florida. Jake married Ada R.; I donít know her last name.

Sometime in the late 1800ís Alex and Melinda went to Mississippi. To my knowledge they lived in Harrison County, in a town called Lyman. There son Jake lived in Harrison County in the early 1900ís with his family, I found them on a census record. I also have Jakeís SSN application. He was in Picayune Mississippi, living at the Goodyear Hotel when he filled out for his SSN. He was working for the Goodyear Yellow Pine Co. I have been told that at sometime they may have lived in Texas. Alex and Melinda had other children. The other childrenís names are Joe, Charlie and Grace. There were a total of 10 children.

Dan is my great-grandfather. He lived in Pensacola most of his life, but could have lived in Texas for a while. He and Mary had a son named Robert Lee Wilson and a daughter named Erma Marie Wilson. My dad sayís that the family that lived in Mississippi lived near the Pearl River, or maybe it was Pearl River County, Iím not sure and neither is he.

The other surnames are DUNAWAY, COOLEY, MITCHELL, and NORRIS.

Malcolm C. Dunaway was B-05 Apr 1835, Alabama, D-1906, Pensacola, Florida. He married Nicey Jane Sefronia Cooley 22 Jan 1883, Pensacola, Florida. Jane was B- 28 Jan 1850, Florida and D-03 Sep 1918, Pensacola, Florida. They had the following Children:

Ike (Isaac) Dunaway B-28 Nov 1878, D-03 Apr 1945

Joseph (Joe) R. Dunaway B-17 May 1881, D-28 Sep 1948 Pensacola, Florida. First wife L. Busby, Second wife F. Byrd, Third wife Cora Elizabeth Johnson.

Polly (Pollie) Dunaway B-22 Dec 1886, D-03 Dec 1940, Pensacola, Florida. First husband Jim Wilson, Second husband Lynn (Leonard) Mitchell

Hirman (Harman, Harom) Dunaway B-04 Oct 1884, D-19 Dec 1977 Pensacola, Florida. First wife Myrtle Olsen.

Nancy Dunaway B-?, D-?. Nancy was the wild child of the family. First husband Taylor, Second husband Will Olsen, Third husband Watson, and Fourth husband Ben King.

Phillip Dunaway B-01 Jun 1874, D-28 Nov 1940, Pensacola, Florida. First wife Sabre Isabelle Wilson. Phillip and Sabre divorced.

Fanny (Fannie) Dunaway B-24 Dec 1885, D-03 Apr 1940. First husband Benjamin Francis Collins.

Then you have my ggg-grandfather Isaac Cooley, born in South Carolina. Would live to find some history on Isaac. Isaac died in Pensacola, Florida at the ripe old age of 114.

If anyone has a connection or has any information, I would love to communicate and share what I know.

Thanks
Carla
