I have not had who the mother of Nancy Moore was. I do not have any siblings for Nancy. I do know that Nancy Moore had been married in Duval County, 9 Aug 1860, to Edmund Mansell (book 01, 370); the marriage was recorded a second time (book 02, p 371) with her name recorded as Nancy Jones. The birth of Nancy Moore was on 17 May 1845. This would have been before the marriage of John Moore and Mary Peterson on 13 Apr 1854.... AND Mary Peterson could have been a stepmother, since she used the Jones name, and that John Moore's first wife was Elizabeth Jones, the mother of Nancy. It comes to reason then, why Nancy used the Jones name on her marriage license.

I do have the following.

Nancy was listed on the 1850 Duval County Census as one of four girls in the household of John (age 75) and Mary (age 40) Moore: Charlotte, 15; Nanch 13; Scynthia 12; and Agnes, 10. Huxford in Pioneers of Wiregrass, Georgia, Vol. I, stated that John Moore left his home and family in Georgia about 1832/3 and that John Moore's first wife was Elizabeth Jones. Census records prove that John Moore and his family were in Florida by 1840. John Moore married 12 April 1854 in Duval County, Polly Peterson ( a descendant says Mary "Polly" (Miller)Peterson, a widow); and the Mary, Charlotte, and Nancy of John Moore's household in 1850 were residing in the household of Jos. Wilkinson (age 50) in 1860. They were however, listed as Wilkinsons with the respective ages of 45, 14, and 11. Other children in the also listed as Wilkinsons were Reuthe(?) 9; Wealthy 7: Rebecca 5; and Lockey 3 (a descendant of Rebecca states that all of these children were Moores). There is no obvious explanation from the above as to why the marriage of Edmund Mansell and Nancy was recorded a second time with her name listed as Nancy Jones. Could she have been married to a Jones prior to Mansell? More information is need on the Moore family before a conclusion is drawn.
