Your Robert Parrish is the son of Hiram Parrish & Sarah Elizabeth West.

Hiram Parrish was born abt. 1819 somewhere near Lowndes Co., Ga. He served in the Fla. Indian Wars. He died of pneumonia on Dec. 10, 1869 in Duval Co. Hiram & Sarah's children were Elizabeth, Wealthy, Mary Ann, Jane, Sarah, Eliza, Daniel, Robert, Martha, Frances, Victoria, Alice & Joseph. On the 1880 Duval Co. census, your Robert & Candace are living with Sarah.

I am not sure who Hiram Parrish's parents were, but someone told me that he had two brothers, Joseph & Daniel and that the family was originally from Spottsylvania, Va. There are a lot of Parrishes from that area. I was also told that Hiram's mothers last name was Hysler. He is buried in the Parrish family cemetery in Duval Co.

If you want any more information, I can mail it to you. I just need your address.
I have not yet figured out whether or not I am related to the Parrishes and why my gggrandmother (Rebecca Todd) was living with his family in 1850. If you have any information about the Todd family, let me know. I also have Buckels, Lowes, Sandlins & Bonnells in my family. Let me know also if any of those names are familiar to you.
