I believe that you will find the obits from the Miami papers lacking in Genealogy help. Usually they are just a short listing of Name, date and time of funeral.
I think that you might have more luck requesting a Florida death certificate. They are only $5.00 and come in a couple of weeks. You can download a request form from online, fill out and mail it. They have a lot of info, informant, date of birth, place of birth, funeral home and place of internment.
