Thanks Brenda, I had finally made the link from Georgiann to Mary Ellen and thus to Acrefoot but having found Georgiann a whole new set of questions arise. Yes, she was a Johnson. Her parents are Elizabeth Keen and Elias Johnson. Georgiann was born in Columbia Co. in 1847. It seems that Mary Ellen was born 20 years later , in 1867. Her place of birth has been listed as Polk Co and as Lake Co and Mary Ellen's father is listed as Alonzo Johnson. I can find no trace of Alonzo and I find that Georgiann's family had moved to DeSoto Co prior to this time. (her sister married there 4 months prior to Mary Ellen's birth). In 1870, in DeSoto, Georgiann married Stephen McClenithan. There is no mention of what happened to Alonzo. I doubt Alonzo's existence after familiarizing myself with the antics of both Georgiann and Stephen. They both had illegitimate children while married to each other and Georgiann went so far as to marry and divorce another man while still married to Stephen. I would love to determine Mary Ellen's father, and find a listing of all of Georgiann's children. I only find Mary Ellen and Henry Oscar, but there were more. It is a real mess. Thanks for writing. Terry
