Do either of you know the location of the Sumner Family Cemetery in Suwannee County off Hwy 129 between McAlpin and O'Brien? I don't know who all is buried there but there are about 20-30 headstones most of which are Sumners. You take the first road west off of Hwy 129 just south of Prevatt Rd. (this road is right across from the chicken farm just south of Florida Pest Control Co., just south of McAlpin). After you turn west off Hwy 129, you go approx 1/4 mile, you will come to the top of a small hill, look on your left (southside of road) and you will see the headstones just off of the roadway. Apparently there was either a homestead or church there at one time. It's easy to find, it is all cow pasture which is fence except for the area where the graves are located. I haven't had a chance to work on my Sumner Family yet, but it started with Ellar Sumner (b. 1874) marrying Henry Tillman Shannon in Irwin Co. Ga. m. 3-19-1893, they are both buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tift County, Ga..
Good Luck,
Mike Flowers
