GGGrandfather Whitman arrived from Texas to Florida in 1880's or '90's with four children: Edith, Price, Donald, Pauline. Came without wife. Don't know gggrandfather Whitman"s first name nor gggrandmother's first/maiden name. GGGfthr a Dade County sheriff. Family settled throughout Dade and Collier County: Marco Island/Little Marco Island/Caxambas/Ft Myers/Naples. GGrandmother Edith Whitman m. Marcus Ogden (origin unknown) and had one son: Horace Donald "George" Ogden. "George" m. Mary Burgess in same general area and had one daughter, Pauline Patricia "Patsy" Ogden (my mother). Edith and Marcus divorced, as did "George" and Mary. Need info on the following: GGGrandfather Whitman's first name; GGGrandmother's first/maiden name; origin of Marcus Ogden and where he went subsequent to divorce from Edith (did he have any more children?); Edith Whitman Ogden's subsequent 2 married names. Can anyone help?
