There was Isaac Varns Jr. and Isaac Varns Sr. Which one are you referring to? I have a marriage license dated 1830 where Isaac Varns Sr. married Susan Branning. It must mean the widow of Andrew Branning as the daughter Susan married John M. Stafford.In the 1850 census Isaac wasn't list with a wife and if I remember correctly, he was 70 years old.
