William was born in Georgia (this info obtained from his son Bennet's census 1860, 1870, & 1880 which says father born in Georgia, mother born in Georgia.
I have not nailed down who William's parents were. Do you have any possibilities? My great-great-great grandfather William must either be dead or not in Florida during the 1840 census because Rhoda is listed as the head of household from then on. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.
