Fought Co A 9th Reg 5 Apr 1862 deserted Sep 1864 In Oct or Nov 1863 in Co Lutterlohs Munalins Bttn enlisted in Levyville FL 10 Nov 1864 until May 1865 at home on hospital furlough from Tallahassee at time of surrender
(he didn't return from furlough, that was very common as they got home to find their families destitute and starving, he joined the Home Guards instead. The Confederate Army was very scattered at that time and it was going to be very difficult to rejoin his company)
According to a file on the Net, Samuel B died 11 Dec 1907 in Trenton, Alachua, FL and Roxie Ann Townsend was his wife
