I would be happy to do an obituary lookup for you. I would prefer to have an exact date of death if at all possible, especially if your information is from the social security death index. I have often found the social security info to be inaccurate, and I've missed finding an obituary because of this. If all you have is a month and year of death, I would highly recommend getting a death certificate from the state of Florida first. I don't know how far back your wanting to look for an obit, but the closer you get to the 1900's, the less likely there was an obituary, and the less likely the University or Alachua County library has the newspaper needed. I'll be happy to check for an obit if you'll send me your information.
