HENRY FIZERS # 1,2,3 of VIRGINIA
I hope this will be of some help to anyone researching the "Virginia Fizers". They are all descended from Johann Heinrich Feiser (1735-1818), AKA "Henry Fizer #1". He was born in the village of Borot, Westerwald region of the German Palatinate. He came with his father and siblings to America in 1744 on the ship Aurora and the family settled in Lancaster/York Co.,PA. He married Anna Margaretha Freitag ca 1760, probably in York Co.,PA, although no marriage record has been found that I'm aware of. By the mid 1780's Henry Fizer had settled in Botetourt Co.,VA. He died in Montgomery Co.,Virginia in 1818. His third oldest son was named Henry Fizer and he was born in 1765 in York Co.,PA. This Henry Fizer eventually settled in Berkley/Jefferson Co.,VA (now West Virginia). There is no record of his date of death but census and deed records indicate he was in Jefferson Co.,VA in 1810. This was "Henry Fizer #2"."Henry Fizer #3"(1786-1842) was the oldest son of Adam Fizer
(ca 1763-1838) and was born in Botetourt Co.,Va. Adam was the second oldest son of Henry Fizer(1735-1818).This third generation Henry Fizer married Elizabeth Bright in 1808 in Augusta Co.,VA. They later moved to Kentucky, settling in either Pulaski Co. or Montgomery Co. in the 1820's. Henry moved the family to Saline Co.Missouri in the late 1830's and he died there in 1842. I hope this will clear up any confusion on the early generations of the Virginia Fizers. Will be glad to discuss this and share info.
