I understand that in early England any name with a Fitz in front of it is the sign of a Royal bastard. Another sign of a Royal bastard is a diagonal line from top to bottom across the family crest. (From the "Crest makers" of England) I have a Isobel Fitzwilliam married to a William Wentworth in 1740. Anyone else come across this lady? Kathy Holden Notify Administrator about this message?
