Just found this website. Saw your inquiry. Our family has extensive documented genealogy records tracing our relatives back to Arklow County, Ireland in 1760.Three FitzWilliam brothers, (Dennis,Thomas and James emigrated to the United States and from one of them,James), sprung my family tree.
One of my great aunts spent several years researching the FitzWilliams all over Ireland and England and the USA. She wrote a book in 1973,(now out of print) with many photos from the 1800's of our ancestors.
Don't belive this may help your search, but FitzWilliam is an unusual name. I have traveled all over the world and have not seen it very much, ie in phone books etc.
