Fitzsimmons Family Genealogy Forum

Hi Patrick-- I am still researching my Fitzsimmons lineage. My grandfather SUPPOSEDLY came to America as an Indentured to pick tobacco in TN. He was from Kerry. When he finished his servitude he was given a new more "acceptable" AMERICAN name of Simonds...along with 5 acres of land from the tobacco farmer. I have verified our Irish ancestry, but NOT the American side! I would love to know any information you might have, and I will gladly share what I know! I was taught to speak "the Irish" by my grandfather too, so as "Niver ta loose the KNOWIN of home." Slan Beo!
