Any Fitzsimmons' in Mississippi????

Does anyone have any information on any Fitzsimmons in Mississippi??

Possibly Marion County (what later became Lamar County)???

I heard old stories from my grandfather before he died that the family name was originally Fitzsimmons (it was later changed to Simmons but I have no clue as to when)

I have come to a deadend researching Simmons' in the Mississippi area. I am only back to the mid 1800's PErhaps this is when the switch was made??
