Dear Cheryl,
Thank you for replying to my message. I have to consult with my sister who is the historian in the family before I can post much further information.
The information I know is that my grandfather (Michael Fitzsimmons) immigrated to Newark, NJ where he opened a bar. His wife (my grandmother) died and his brother (Bernard) returned to Ireland with my dad(Bernard) who then grew up on a farm outside Ballyjamesduff. My mother (Claire Bridget Dolan) was also from Ballyjamesdufff.
Over time we've lost touch with the Fitzsimmon family. Via a circuitous route I live in Westfield, N.J. - only about 20 miles from my grandfather's tavern.
