Martha,

No, I've never had any contact with Richard Painter. Did he have a good idea who Patrick's father was?

Henry Fitzsimmons was born before 1755...per 1800 census. He died 1804/05...per Huntingdon Co. tax records. He DID have a son Henry. This is proven by Huntingdon Co. land records. I'm pretty sure Henry Sr.'s wife's name was Mary. Henry Jr.'s wife's name was definitely Mary. Henry Jr. disappears after the 1820 Huntingdon Co. census. Another son of Henry Sr. was Charles. He is on the 1820 Huntingdon census, and I "think" he's in Harrison Co., Ohio in 1830...after that, I don't know. According to another Fitzsimmons researcher, Henry Sr. also had a daughter named Elizabeth, who married an Augustus Taylor. Besides those three children, Henry Sr. had at least three other children that I have no names for at this point.

I had a researcher go through everything pertaining to Fitzsimmons in Huntingdon Co. last winter. Now I'm thinking of doing the same in Bedford, Cumberland, and Franklin Counties. It seems this is the only way we may ever piece this all together.

Dave
