I'm listing below all the Fitzsimmons' I've been able to find so far in the general area of the Cumberland Valley in PA in the late 1700's and first half of the 1800's.
1.Patrick Fitzsimons, born Bef. 1755, died 1829, lived in Huntingdon Co., Dublin Twp. First appeared on petition dated 1778. Wife believed to have been Nancy Randall. Children were Elizabeth m. Robert Marshall, Sarah m. Paul Geddes, Mary m. James Carothers, Nancy m. Samuel Paul, Jane m. Andrew Carothers, James m. Rebecca Blackmore, Margaret (Peggy) m. Francis Carothers, Martha m. Archibald Thompson, William m. Eliza (Ann Eliza) Holman, and Eleanor m. Henry Dubbs.

2.Henry Fitzsimons, born Bef. 1755, died 1804/05. Wife's name believed to have been Mary. It is believed by some (including me) that Henry was the brother of Patrick above. Henry had six or seven children. Only three seem to be known...Charles, born Abt. 1785, probably married Catharine Crow, Henry, born Abt. 1790, m. Mary, Elizabeth m. Augustus Taylor. The rest are unknown. It has been "speculated" that the Patrick Fitzsimmons that married Elizabeth Failor and lived in Cumberland Co. was also a son of Henry.

3.James Fitzsimmons, son of Patrick above, born 1789 (per tradition, but I believe he was born 1786/87), died 1837. James first appears on Dublin Twp. tax lists in 1808 as a single freeman. He "removed" in 1812. That is probably when he migrated to Beaver Co., PA. He married Rebecca Blackmore in 1814. Moved to Columbiana Co., Ohio and had eight children.
4.William Fitzsimmons, son of Patrick above, was born October 10, 1793 and died October 10, 1847. He migrated to Crawford Co., Ohio in 1831. Married Eliza Ann (or Ann Eliza) Holman in 1825. Had nine children.
5.Charles Fitzsimmons, son of Henry above, was born Abt. 1785. I believe he married Catharine Crow about 1810. He is on the 1810 and 1820 Huntingdon Co. censuses and may be the Charles Fitzsimmons on the 1830 Harrison Co., Ohio census.
6.Henry Fitzsimmons, Jr., son of Henry above. Born about 1790, married Mary probably about 1809. He is on the 1810 Huntingdon Co. census, and possibly on the 1820 census.
7.Patrick Fitzsimmons, Cumberland Co., PA. Origins unknown, died 1826. Married Elizabeth Failor about 1819/20. Had five children
8.William Fitzsimmons, listed as available for militia duty, Dublin Twp., Huntingdon Co. 1785.
9.John Fitzsimmons, listed as available for militia duty, Dublin Twp., Huntingdon Co. 1785.
10.King Fitzsimmons, listed in church seating for Little Aughwick church in 1800. This is Dublin Twp. I have to wonder if "King" was a nickname or wrong decipher.
11.Mary Fitzsimmons, married William Toy April 15, 1774 in Chambersburg, Cumberland Co.
12.Mary Fitzsimmons, listed for Little Aughwick church in 1808. Possibly widow of Henry Sr.
13.James Fitzsimmons, died in Franklin Co. in 1791. His will states his wife was Esther, daughter of William McClelland. Lists two sons, James and Thomas.
14.James Fitzsimmons, probable son of James above. He's on the 1800 and 1810 Franklin Co. censuses and migrated to Allegheny Co., PA.
15.Thomas Fitzsimmons, probable son of James (#13) above. His estate was sold in Franklin Co. in 1827.
16.John Fitzsimmons, Cumberland Co. Had daughters Catharine and Rachel, and a son named Conrad. Catharine married Boyd Dunbar, and when she died, Rachel became the wife of Boyd Dunbar. I believe John Fitzsimmons died in Fulton Co., PA.
Does anyone have anymore info on any of the above people. Additions? Corrections? Thoughts?
